Gripping tale of broken dreams and aspirations performed at Dubai Festival for Youth Theatre

Dubai, UAE; October 5, 2011: The Dubai Festival for Youth Theatre, a one-of-its kind initiative in the UAE, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), showcased a captivating tale on one man’s broken dreams.

The Chamber (Al Ghorfa), written by Talal Mahmoud and Omar Tahar, and performed by the Youth Theatre, depicts the story of a man, whose hopes, dreams, and future are destroyed, leading him into the grip of insanity.

The stage will then make way for Mahmoud Al-Qattan and Ghanem Nasir’s Judgment Day (Lailat Hasab), performed by the Dubai Community Theatre on October 6, 2011.

Now in its fifth edition, the Dubai Festival for Youth Theatre will be held until October 11, 2011 at the Dubai Cultural & Scientific Association. The closing ceremony announcing the winners will be held on October 12, 2011, at Raffles Dubai.
